Teaching myself some basics and I'm stuck, help would be appreciated.

So I'm just teaching myself some basic HTML, CSS and Java coding and I'm stuck trying to work out how to write a fraction on one line with a numerator, denominator and a line in the middle such as n/d but lined up vertically. How do I do this?
