So I use Google Fonts as my main source for web fonts when doing development. For about the past two years, trying to view www.google.com/fonts while at work is painfully slow. About 10 font families will load in the list, but if you try to scroll any further, the page stops, you have to wait about 20-30 seconds, and then it will load another 10 families. These delays also occur when doing searches or using the filters. When I access the website from home or other locations, there are no delays. My work internet connection is on a very fast line (low ping and a speed of at least 90Mbps UP / 35Mbps DOWN), while my home connection, while no slouch, is about half that. The only correlation I can find is that one of our divisions handles SEO, and we often have issues with Google search getting the captcha loop of death caused by some sort of fiddling by the SEO team. Could Google be throttling my company's access to all their properties due to this? Is anyone else experiencing this?
