How to achieve this scrolling animation effect?

Hey guys, I want to create an animation effect such as this: [Cafe Frida](www.cafefrida.ca)

I simply want an image to appear on the homepage, and when you scroll down, the image will animate to the bottom of the page (out of the way but not completely hidden) and stay in a fixed position. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
