Mac with GPU or Integrated?

Hello folks of /r/Design, not sure if this is the right place to post but I hope some fellow techies can give me advice.

I'm looking to get a Macbook Pro for my university studies beginning this year. I'll be using it mainly for architecture coursework, but I'll be doing some freelance graphic and web design too.

My use case is simple - I usually have illustrator and photoshop open, sometimes render 3D visualisations in Cinema4D and videos in Premiere Pro. My current setup is a MBP from 2011 (Intel HD 3000, Core i7, SSD) and it does all these tasks quite well but renders take a long time.

The issue is, I'm not sure if I should be getting a 15" with a dedicated graphics card (AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB GDDR5 memory) or just the base 15" model with Intel Iris Pro graphics. One thing I have against the dedicated card is heat - the tropical climate here easily overheats laptops.

Will it be worth my money to get a model with the dedicated graphics card if I retain the same use case? Or should I stick with the integrated graphics?
