Stay at my current job, leave for the 'competition' or stay at my current job?

I struggle with long posts. I'll try to be as brief as possible.

Junior front dev, have some basic php experience (can put together a simple wordpress theme. Bootstrap, LESS (I'd prefer SCSS), little bit of jquery and Javascript.

I got unpaid internship last summer. turned that into a paid job (Still a student, 21 years old atm.) 3€/h, don't judge me I live in a small country, though it's still a bit of a rip off.

I feel I gain experience and learn only every 4th project. I have done some freelancing without any marketing what so ever and the money is way better, but I'm doing this for experience.

Came across an offer from a competitor ad agency, Though not really comparable as they have almost 70 employees compared to us which is 15. Though I think they are more inclined toward working with their junior devs, have much bigger name, clients basically everything.

The problems: * I feel bad for ditching my first employer as the chance he gave me really helped me grow in so many areas and also I don't really want to part on bad terms.

  • My current job is in the town I live in, the other one is 80km away (I have means to get myself there either in a car or via public transport)

  • I want to get as much experience while I'm still not completely responsible for putting food on my table

  • Want to get better at programming, though making presentational wordpress sites doesn't feel like it's gonna get me there.

  • If i get the job at the competition i can work remotely and part time - seems like the best thing since I want to have time for my own experimenting and other activities + still studying.

What would you do?

The freelance actually seems the most appealing as I would most likely present myself as agency as well and maybe partner up/hire someone down the road. I think this experience while hard can be extremely rewarding, however I'm worried I won't be able to learn as much on my own and doing things the "right way".
