WP/Jekyll/raw code for portfolio site?

Going to make a portfolio/blog to show to freelance clients and also to apply for dev/design job in the future.

If you were someone looking to employ a front-end dev/designer would you prefer:

  • a site which I'd made a custom WP theme for

  • a site using Jekyll CMS (or equivalent)

  • a site in which I'd hand coded every last line

My JavaScript and PHP are definitely work-in-progress but I have pretty solid HTML/CSS. Of course hand coding every last line would be a great opportunity to learn a ton.

Got a dozen sites I've made freelance (mostly static WP sites).

Currently leaning towards raw code...

An upvote for your thoughts. Thanks!
