Hey all. After some general workflow tips, mindsets and so forth on finding a better balance between being an efficient designer and being a precise designer.
I've worked as a digital designer in advertising for 10 years, I've been in a new role for a few months now, and I'm finding I need to adjust my workflow to match the different environment i now work in.
I worked at one place for 8 years, but we were conditioned to "do it right the first time". I'm very precise with my pixel perfection and I already know I sweat the small stuff far too often. My new role requires a more iterative approach - get 60-80% of a design done, feedback, finish later.
Due to the differing workflows I'm trying to find ways or a frame of mind to adjust to this. I know the basics, but even some advice on how you manage those tight deadlines. Normally i would make most deadlines, but due to the sheer size of some of the projects I'm working on its difficult to prioritise.
I know it's very personal how your workflow is to you, but my manager has asked how we can work together on adjusting to fit the needs of the business.
Thanks all :)
