Hey all,
Thought I'd pose this question to a community familiar with the myriad of tools out there for 2D digital art. I've been limping along with Paint.NET. It's been great, and the price is right, but creating decent 2D Art takes ages and never lives up to the hours invested. I've used Paint.NET for everything from photo-manipulation to logo design (nothing serious, obviously). The simplicity originally drew me in, but now I find myself coming up with obtuse, time-intensive workarounds for the simplest problems.
Any suggestions for greener pastures? I'm especially looking for software that's half-way affordable for an impoverished college student.
Thanks!
