There's one particular location (I work internally as a designer) I make things for that always tells me my mailers don't "pop" enough. Then proceed to ask for a duller colour scheme than what I have curated. Also the colours they request may clash and not work at all. I was hoping to create portfolio worthy work but I haven't managed a single piece I can be proud of in a year so far. All five other locations are totally cool and trust my judgement, and don't let personal colour vendettas affect their critiques.
How do you deal with this, other than screaming and day drinking? It happens several times a month and I've had it.
