A question about Behance and HTML5

I would like to make a project like the one I listed below, with animated loops. I am trying to figure out the file types that I need to work with. I have been reading a lot about HTML5 and I can't find anything on the internet that tells me how to use HTML5 with Behance.

I use Animate CC. With the death of Flash Player I am unsure how to get my animations onto Behance since it uses none of the file types that Animate spits out when you export to HTML5. Am I going about this all wrong?

Is this just a process of uploading animated GIFs?

Are these HTML 5 references that are hosting animated GIFs?

Why would you use HTML 5 when you could just upload an animated GIF?

Is it possible to add sound with out involving a player?

Thanks!
