How do I create a SVG to use for Safari's pinned tabs?

I was reading this article but it didn't give me specs on how to actually make a SVG image that conforms to Apple's guidelines.

Has anyone had any luck on the right dimensions that should be used? I tried a PNG to SVG converter and when I upload to my site's root folder and set the path it still comes up with the first letter of my domain.
