Are SVG fragment identifiers in CSS background save to use by now?

I love SVG fragment identifies in CSS backgrounds. They make extremely easy and convenient to work with scalable graphics in CSS. Unfortunately in the past it wasn't save to use them because like 80+ percent of the browser market - namely the Blink and the Webkit browsers - did not support them. But at least Chrome does by now and some of its siblings and derivates I could test (you just have to add a width and a height to the background). I'm hoping that all Blink-based browsers and maybe their Webkit-relatives as well support fragment identifiers by now.

Usually I would just consult caniuse.com to find the answer to my question, but I found that the information on that website is not up-to-date concerning SVG fragment identifiers. Webkit-browsers are still listed with only partial support while by my experience they offer full support by now. Therefore I don't trust caniuse.com at this point and ask you instead what you know about current support for SVG fragment identifiers in Blink-based browser (especially Android, which I cannot test myself) and Webkit-based browsers (Safari on desktop and mobile) or if you can point me to another source than caniuse.com that might have the answers that I need.

Thank you!
