Hoping to get your thoughts on designing web pages to be responsive in two ways: * Based on screen resolution * Based on bandwidth
I think the assumption we make is that, if someone uses a device with high screen resolution they have a fast internet connection. This might not be true. Also larger sites load a lot "rich" media (high res images and videos) that can increase the page load time, just based on the amount of content downloaded.
Are there tools/design techniques out there to help reduce your "page" (html + css + js + images) size?
Am I even asking the right question?
