Adobe's new strategy of forcing its marketplace down my throat in all of its applications is beginning to really annoy me.

CC 2017 introduces even more integration with Adobe's marketplace, but it's starting to feel a bit much.

  • First there was the CC application itself. It's essentially a shop front. It opens to the Adobe Stock tab by default.

  • Then you've got the new Photoshop New Document window, which they've also turned into a shop front with document templates available from the market place.

  • They've also added a stock search in the main UI.

  • They're also keen for you to store all of your assets via the cloud, with "Add to Creative Cloud" checked by default on most asset windows.

  • They've added "Share on Behance" and "Search Adobe Stock" in the File menu.

I'm sure people do actually find the services useful but it's starting to feel like too much. They're focusing on selling the marketplace instead of making the product I'm using better. That worries me.
