Hello redditors. I'm a 21 gorl and I'm an Adobe Illustrator enthusiast. I want to join into this 'world' of designers and add another new skill to my CV.
I'm a photoshop user mostly and I've been learning it since I was 11 years old. I started alone, from passion and I worked with no tutorials, learning thing from 0. I love to explore. But this thing doesn't help me right now in AI. I don't have too much time to learn all by myself even though I would love to discover all its features alone.
I wanted to come here and ask for your guidance. Photoshop is clearly not enough if I want to join a design career.
How or with what should I start learning AI?
The menu is similar with Photoshop, but the shortcuts commands (the ones I always work with) are not the same anymore. It's hard for me not to work with quick commands from the keyboard and also I don't know what should I work in AI that can look different or better than in Photoshop.
I heard AI is well known for its vectors design. How is a vector design better than a normal image and how can Ai create a pure vector design in AI?
There are so many things I don't know and I am ashamed of it. I was afraid to study more since my school and what I study are completely different from what I wanna do now - design. So I was distracted until now, when I realised I want to try the path that appeals to me more. I'm very passionate and I got a lot of patience, it's just I got very less time than when I was younger and I wanna learn things fast, but I got nowhere to start from.
Can you help me please? I'd like to learn more about vectors/logos and business card creations in AI.
Have an awesome day and thank you for youe time! And Happy Holidays everyone 🎄❤️
