Agency vs studio, what's the difference?

I'm currently working as a digital designer for an agency offering web design/dev, SEO, PPC etc

I'm thinking of moving on because I feel like my team is being neglected in favour of more profitable services like SEO.

I've seen a few design studios around but don't really know the difference, nor have I seen any job advertisements for them.

I was wondering what you lot prefer to work in.
