[Question] Asking Price for a logo design.

I don't know where to post this question but I figured I would start here. If I am in the wrong sub, please point me in the right direction! Thanks!.

I am an EMT and my "Boss" has asked me to create a new logo for the company I work for. It may be used for a complete re-branding of the company and I was wondering if I should ask for compensation? If so, I have no idea how much to ask for. Please help if you can! Thanks everyone!
