Ok so I realise animated Gifs might be seen as pretty old school in some circles but they are still sufficient when in a pinch and you want to knock out a quick web advertisement with some simple transitions. However it seems Adobe have left Gifs by the wayside with the Export for Web (Legacy) option having been in Legacy for a year or so now with no replacement for exporting an animated Gif that I'm aware of.
I've recently been getting acquainted with Photoshop's latest addition... Artboards. Something that should have been added years ago instead of half the nonsense they've been adding (Libraries anyone?). So artboards are great, I doubt anyone could argue otherwise but I noticed tonight that after creating a couple of artboards and putting together some simple animations there doesnt seem to be a way to export animated artboards to Gifs without using the Export for Web (Legacy) tool and in this case it will export all artboards as a single Gif which is useless.
So my question is, is there any way to export animated artboards as Gifs? Or are artboards another poorly implemented feature by Adobe? The best solution I can find for the problem is to manually setup slices for each artboard and then export via the legacy tool.
