100 Things Every Designer Needs to Know About People (Voices That Matter)
I am a current high school junior and college is... looming over me. My passion is design, photography, music, video, all of it. My dream job is to be a creative director and eventually a chief creative director. The problem is that I don't know what I should be studying in college, rather what I should be prioritizing. Do I get a degree in digital marketing, and prioritize the whole marketing side of things or do I prioritize the arts side of things? And what schools should I be looking at?
Cool layout or like design for my YouTube channel and instagram. Like a picture/design or a logo that I can use. Any tips or site I can use that are free or low cost?
Thank you in advance.
On smartphones we see the phone app as an old school almost rotary style phone, but the issue is, this icon has become so easily and instantly recognizable by everyone as a phone. How do we get past this? In what ways could you change a phone icon, to look more modern, while still being easily recognizable?
Or any other examples for that matter, such as email being an envelope?
I know some might say, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”, which is a good point! But I know there’s gotta be a way to do it right, just nobody’s quite figured it out yet.
I’m starting my career as a Product Designer (UI/UX) and I’ve an offer from this company that would be my foot in the door. The only problem is... I’ll be the only designer there (for now).
I don’t know if I can handle it. Also, since they don’t have other designers, I can’t learn from anyone (which is my biggest goal).
What should I do?
Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm working on a project at uni for designing a online learning platform, I'd really appreciate some responses to my survey for the research end.
I am in the middle of a career change to a field out of design and need to throw together a new portfolio so I can get freelance work while I'm transitioning. I just so happen to have a paid wix membership that is good for another 6 months. I also have a behance account and access to wordpress though dream host, along with some experience in adobe muse.
Basically, I am just trying to land small/temp motion graphics and content creation type design gigs, so I plan on using behance primarily but it seems wasteful not to use the paid wix membership. Is the more benefit in abandoning and using wordpress via dresshost? That would require a few days of education on my part since it has been yes since I used it.
Thoughts?
tldr; what's wrong with custom wix sites?
I'm looking for any software or site to build infographics. I want to use it for giving tips, creativity, and help others understand the info through a visual perspective. I'm willing to self teach myself, money is not a issue but I dislike the subscription based sites/software; However it's still welcome!
What do you use to create your infographic?
Hi. I am a budding UI/UX Design student. I love working with Adobe XD and Illustrator. However, I have always wondered how people present their wireframes in a way that they look pictures of actual iPhone/Android mobile phones. Something like this

Let me know, please!
I have been given the task of designing this year’s college magazine and I wanted to know if it’s okay to use graphics (mainly SVG/vector files) from the institution’s website in the magazine.
I found a redesign of Koperski funeral home in Poland but not much else. Let me know if you have any good inspirations for me :)
I’m a Product Designer (UI/UX) and I need to present 2 projects for an agency I’m interviewing with.
It doesn’t matter how long the projects are, as long I can explain my design process clearly.
I’ve ideas, but they’ll require me weeks of work for each one to get it done. I need two quick ideas that I can start and finish in 2-3 days at most.
I’m lost and I can’t find any inspiration. Any thoughts on what I can do to unlock my creativity?
Thanks!
