I've seen a lot of design following a "computer generated graphics" trend lately (for example, Apparat's newest album graphic identity), are there any suggestions on how to achieve this, or which software to use?

I'm specifically talking about Apparat's new album: http://www.apparat.net

But I've seen a lot of similar approaches lately, either on posters for gigs, or on album covers. Is there any "standard" to achieve this?

When is a software UI modern or new?

What elements transform an "old" UI into new or modern? Apparently, CorelDRAW's UI is pointed out as old by few articles. I don't see what's exactly old or outdated with its UI. What's preventing other UIs from being associated with old interfaces?
