What sort of business card design should I go with if I'm unemployed?

I'm going to be leaving my current place of employment in a few weeks. My current business card design is heavily oriented towards my current job. Obviously I can no longer put my current position, company, company logo, and work e-mail, so I'm trying to create a new personal business card design. However, I'm having some problems getting started on a design. What would you recommend I use for logos or graphics? My alma mater's logo? Some generic stock image that represents my career field/specialty? What other design tips would you recommend?
