Designers - what techniques do you use for making text readable when its upside down?

I am by no means a graphic designer, nor a text/font designer for that matter, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

How would you guys design a poster/video thumbnail/online graphic where you were tasked with having some of the text upside down? Any suggestions on how to make it quickly readable, whether to use certain font styles or just to flip the text a certain way?
