I have a shot at leading a team of designers who make up creative operations within a corporate marketing unit. This team is seven peeps including me. Our goals are to create content that convert to Marketing Qualified Leads. Our industry is large, and not necessarily cutting edge, however, we are being challenged with IoT initiatives for 2019, and the higher-ups are down to innovate.
What qualities, traits, actions, or stances do you need from a leader to do your job to the best of your ability? What can leaders do best that clear the runway for you to excel?
What else should I know about managing designers, their time, and their development?
Thanks for your thoughtful responses (and the whitty reddit ones too)
Great design resource
