So I’m sorta middle aged and I’ve been a “designer” (I’ve always hated that pretentious term, plus a lot of people I see call themselves that are straight up trash) for about 20 years on and off. I’ve done pretty much all flat work- logos, print, mostly apparel stuff. I haven’t done it as an actual day job for almost 10 years cuz I just got burnt out but have always done it at home, fun or freelance, and try to keep fresh. I don’t like my current “normal” job so I’ve been hunting, but pretty much every job I look up these days is always design with web or UX/UI attached. Is it worth trying to learn all that shit at this point? I’ve had thoughts of giving up but I’m stubborn and hate getting beat. Plus I see people like Draplin and his logos and all that and it’s super inspiring. So I dunno, am I too far gone? What do you veteran designers like me who have been there since AI7/PS5 think? I’d love for you people to weigh in. Also I’m a big boy and can take whatever criticism or whatever you throw my way. Thank you very much, people!
