help with aligning the page please (wordpress & css)

Hello everyone, I have been working down my list of things to modify on this wordpress theme, and I managed to solve most of the puzzles, but this one is still bugging me a little.

http://ift.tt/1MHmUaP (yes, I know the text is the same color as the background. I am waiting for FTP access so I can change the background color)

I would really like the text to align to the center of the page. I would also like the 2 navigational links at the top of the page to be aligned to the right. I would like the logo to stay in the same place.

I have tried changing the float, the position, and the padding (not all at the same time) selecting .col-md-8. I can move the position but I cannot get it to center. Changing this also seems to affect the position of the links and the logo.

Any ideas what I can do? Should be quite simple I imagine...

I have a voice over business and want to build a website. Which design site (weebly, squarespace, etc.) should I use? or can I get someone to build a site that I can easily modify and add audio to?

I want to build a site to promote my voice demos and podcasts kind of a 2 in 1 site. Which design site do you recommend for this that is user friendly, easy to add audio (probably use sound cloud for voice demos and Libsyn for podcasts)?

Or do you think I could pay (not a lot) for someone to build the initial site and I just add podcasts and blog type entries? I have medium tech knowledge and would like to learn enough to get the job done. I have a good idea of a simple, easy to use design concept similar to an Adam Carolla website. A Navigation bar across top with drop downs, 2 columns, some color, web banner pics, payment for voice work, links to social media etc.
