[Discussion] What is your experince with Human centered design research? do you prefer hCD methods to others? do you find them more engaging etc?

Doing a bit of research into what research methods actually engage designers, and wether or not design methods such as sacrafical conepts (conversation starters in IDEO's Design-Kit handbook) help us move from analysis to synthesis easier, would like to hear your thoughts!
