Im fascinated by the idea of combining furniture and technology, and their contrasting qualities of tradition and innovation.
Right now I have project ideas revolving around memories, and how furniture can be used as an aesthetic, permanent placeholder for storing memories whether physical or digital. The concept still isn't grounded to much right now, and i'm wondering if anyone here knows of any interesting projects that combine furniture and technology.
To clarify i'm not interested in smart desks, that combine desks with IoT or charging capabilities but pieces more in line with traditional home furniture such as chairs, tables, bookshelves lamps etc. Are they examples of technology being woven into furniture in meaningful, tasteful ways?
