If you (a Graphic Designer) are working with a recruiter from a creative agency (no fee for the designer) to get a job, is it common for the recruiter to request the following from you? Why would you comply or not comply?
Tell the recruiter the names of any companies that you have previously applied to
Notify the recruiter of any open positions that you are interested in applying to that you find on the internet, etc. (the recruiter stated that if you have a contact at that firm/company, you will have an in, rather than just going to the pile in the HR dept)
Notify her of any firms/companies that you are interested in working for.
