The "Design" name in the header of this sub is written in fake small caps?

This is r/Design, so I think to expect at least decent typography in the "Design" subreddit name in the header is quite reasonable.

However, it is written in fake small caps. The "esign" characters are reduced in font size to make it look like small caps, which is not good typography. It results in the stokes of the small caps characters look thinner than the "D" character. Image

More reading about fake and true small caps can be found here: http://ift.tt/1CjWIJj (practical typography is a great reference for typography, BTW)

Ideally, in true small caps, the small caps characters and the uppercase characters should have the same stroke width.

To explain simply, they should look like they are written with the same pen no matter they are small or large, but not a thinner-stoke pen when in small caps.

I think my expectation of the "Design" name in the header in literally the Design subreddit isn't too much, is it?
