We've been around long enough, we know it just mean's "No Thanks". We know that if you ask again and again, it's not going to change. It just seems like such an empty attempt on the part of designers and copywriters to 'snag the data' at a later time. Let's just get over it. "No Thanks", "Not interested", "No", "Nope", "Don't want to", are the actual user desires. Let's go ahead and meet that in our designs.
And if you need proof, ask yourself - has it ever actually worked on you?
