I own a design/build architectural sign company in the SE that has predominately obtained our business through referrals and very little proactive selling. We do a lot of work with multi-family developers, hospitals and hospitality. We are looking to expand our business and would like to hear from E.G.D on how we as a sign company can help.
We have worked with designers in the past but very few and far between. Design firms typically know of a project long before shovels hit dirt and i'm sure there's a trick to partnering with firms but we haven't been able to figure out that trick yet.
For those of you out there that work with environmental design firms, what is your relationship with sign vendors. Do you see that your firms or the firms you work for have a relationship or is signage an after-thought?
Would love any feedback that anyone can provide. I want my sales team to start reaching out to local firms(major SE city) if there could be opportunity there.
Thanks.
