Need to interview for my design class (self driving cars!)

I'm taking a design class this semester on self driving class....Ford is sponsoring, which is really awesome of them and gives me motivation to try to do well. I'm new to design...and I'm not completely sure about how to tackle this project, I'd appreciate some guidance - ie. what kind of questions to ask at the beginning, what to focus on? How to think?
I'm not especially looking for extremely knowledgeable people here.....especially since I think that a lot of design is about speculation. How do aesthetics make people experience time? Could we chance the experience such that being in a car feels more like relaxing in a space, instead of "riding" a space? What subconscious things affect road rage? Do car designs today take into account of human’s cognitive abilities? etc. If anyone: -has thoughts on this, whether you also have questions unanswered or know of some research studies that I can look into. -can discuss behavioral theory in general - i.e. how people make decisions, and how do companies use them to have people pay. -just curious about this topic and would like to speculate on the future of self driving cars with me and give suggestions to what I should focus on
please reach out! I need to gather material before Thursday afternoon so I'll love to talk before then. If not self driving cars, then design overall in general. I don't plan for any interview to last more than 20 mins, so hopefully this won't take up so much of your time and it'll be a simple matter to chat, thank you :)

Learning programming and data logic as a graphic designer

For some people artistic design comes naturally, but the logic of software and data is a more difficult concept. Has anyone had experience with a training course that has helped wrap their artistic mind around these logical concepts? I have an employee who is a great graphic designer, but is having difficulty understanding the processes that involve our database and logical work flows.

Have a task i can't do. Help? Making these semi rings exact distance and height apart.

Here's what I mean

So I have to get this exact amount of semi circle spaced out evenly from each other and all exactly the same height upwards. This includes the underlying semi circles in their specific places.

I've attached a link to the actual psd file so it might be easier for someone to help me out. The general size of this entire piece needs to stay the same, but the semi circles can be shifted in size a bit if they need to be in order to fit the specifications.

It has to specifically be 13 semi circles around, with two underlying semi circles on either side of the top one, and 8 underlying semi circles starting from the bottom one. You see how I'm having trouble. And I'm horrible at using the grids and guides.

I'm pretty desperate here, so any help is welcome.

Is my domain name off putting to employers?

Quick question, do you reckon my @mildlyupset. Com and portfolio of mildlyupset. com is off putting to employers? I got it a while back because my name is often misspelled and I thought this would be more memorable.

What is/are your favorite design interpretations for "public domain characters" such as deities, famous figures, mythical creatures, etc?

I'm specifically talking about multiple properties that use this as their main schtick:

  • Smite. A real-time MOBA analogous to the highly popular League of Legends, this game mostly (if not entirely) employs various deities as its playable characters.

  • Fate series. Beginning with the visual novel Fate/Stay, this series has encompassed both anime, manga, and more recently, a "gacha"-type mobile game, Fate/Grand Order. Notably, they've involved famous figures in both history and lore, the most notable examples being King Arthur, Alexander the Great, Leonardo da Vinci, and even a Paul Bunyan.

  • Shin Megami Tensei/Persona. A cyberpunk fantasy originating with the novel "Digital Devil Story" by Aya Nishitani, this is one of the more prominent JRPG franchises, only rivaled with Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest in multiple broader aspects. Oftentimes, the games feature various demons, but also mythical creatures, manifestations of certain concepts, angels, and deities from all sorts of mythologies, such as Amaterasu and Atropos. At one point, even some monsters based on Steven King's Christine and Beetlejuice appeared. More recently, in Persona 5, more characters have been based on famous figures, such as Arsene Lupin and Carmen, the latter being from the famous opera. Also to note is that some designs are refreshed from time-to-time, as certain older designs are replaced with more stylized ones.

We can also talk about other designs such as those in Yokai Watch, or even Pokemon, as some Pokemon draw strong inspiration from real-world deities and mythical creatures. For example, there are indeed several Pokemon based on Japanese yokai, but in addition, the Pokemon Celesteela is almost like a manifestation of the Tale of Princess Kaguya, being a bamboo rocket-ship with what appears to be a multi-layered kimono, and even having a Japanese name of "Tekkaguya."
