I have a seven year old beast of a MacBook Pro, but I’m feeling it’s reaching the end of its productive little life. For the kind of work I do, I’m not sure if I would best be served by a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or switch over to just using an iPad Pro(which I love the idea of, but am unsure of its long-term practicality). Furthermore, I’m still running Adobe CS5, and it’s my understanding that after the upgrade I will not be able to run CS5 anymore. I really can’t afford CreatIve Cloud. I’m not a student anymore so that route doesn’t help me much. I’m looking for affordable or free alternatives to my most-used software- InDesign for laying out posters, brochures, and booklets; Illustrator, and Photoshop. By the way, I’m also open to non-Mac options, but I’ve used Apple products for a long time and I’m not 100% I’ll want to switch but I am open to it. Thanks!
