Does anyone know how I can achieve this gradient effect via illustrator? I am attempting to recreate a map similar to this but am having some issues with creating gradients a long paths with messy edges and seemingly dealing with handles that have minds of their own when it comes to formatting the size of the paths etc. Apologies for the low res, just needed a quick proof of the idea I have in mind.
