Has anyone seen the new Verizon on-demand menu?

It's horrible. And a great example of what might have been a good idea in a meeting but the actual implementation is really bad. Especially compared to the straightforward text list and 4 or 5 wide movie images they had previously. You could scroll through it quickly, find what you wanted easily.

Now it's this clunky, image driven mess. It's two columns and they run for a while. Slow to get through and sometimes hard to identify what you're highlighting at times.

I think part of it is inspired to get sponsored content up front and recommended. It may be a driving factor in the change. I'm going to see if I can get some images of it for a before/after. Think I may be stuck taking photos with my phone and emailing them to myself though. Just a really good example of something that isn't practical and ultimately detrimental to the user.

Great design resource
