Design and Coding

Hello, I'm a UX bachelor student.

On school we also get programming, with an Arduino and for creating prototypes and such.

I've read many times though, that most prefer that Designers don't code, due to the difference in way of thinking. I however am very interested in IxD, but also coding.

How can I combine those two?
