I currently work with a youngish (8y/o) manufacturing company in the beauty field as a package designer. A recruiter (from the parent company, non third-party) has recently reached out to me and wants to schedule a phone interview this Thursday for this giant multi-bil company of the same field to be a part of their corporate design team. I did some "research" via Glassdoor and the designers there make about 20k+ more than my current salary. Holy shit, right?
Anyway, it's not like I have the job in the bag just yet since I didn't have my interview. But in the chance that they do want me, there's a little hesitancy towards it because I will be part of this corporation where I believe it will be much more cutthroat than my current place of employment.
I was just wondering what are your thoughts on this, or share any words of experience. Is it worth it even for a year or two, especially to add into my resume? I do not really enjoy where I work.. but then again, is corporate life/work balance different than a start up? How safe do you think I would be there to secure my job? Room for growth is probably non-existant I suppose? I just have a ton of excitement and doubt on my mind and wanted to hear your opinions... sorry if this is incoherent at some parts, I'm typing this on my phone.
Great design resource
