ux / ui designers:. say you were commissioned to design a ui, both front and back end, for a company that only made and sold custom pillowcases, where the buyer could choose from predesigned models or they could make their own.

you have a finite amount of materials, but theoretically an infinite amount of design capabilities by the buyer. would you design an experience to keep the buyer on your site, fiddling around with photoshop type tools, or would you want to simply things and get them to checkout asap? your buyer could be a hotel that needs a jillion of the same, but most of your clientele is someone who needs 2 of the same.
