I'm wanting to gain some new clients for some web design jobs. I don't live in the city, but more so villages clumped together with neighboring towns in the UK. Being in this setting is pretty ideal as there are hundreds of small, independent shops such as florists, cute cafés and restaurants along with loads of other small businesses alike.
I'm wanting to make myself known in these areas and intend to post some personalised postcard-sized kind of advertisement leaflets. What I want to know is what would you include on these? I'm intending to print a design similar to my website (http://6swebdesign.uk/) on the front of the card along with their business name, and then hand write on the back. These businesses do not currently have a web presence other than a Facebook page.
Have any of you done this? Would it be appropriate? I need ideas in what to include on it? I'm guessing nothing technical as I don't think there's much chance of an independent barista knowing what a CMS, PHP and HTML all mean.
Thanks!
tl;dr: Live in a small town with independant shops. They have little to no web presence so I'm looking to sell my services to them. What would be the best way to do this on a small, double-sided postcard?
Epic visual tool
