How do you deal with hosting for clients?

I work as a web developer at a company and have started thinking more and more about how we should handle hosting for our clients.

It's easy if the client already has a website and want a new one, then they already have a hosting provider that we can still use (if they feel comfortable with them).

But sometimes you get clients that start from nothing, or maybe they already have a host but aren't satisfied with them.

The last year we've had a reseller account at a hosting provider, where we easily could create new accounts that worked as "subaccounts" to ours. What I like about this is that the accounts that are created are pretty much standalone, and our reseller-account just acts as a shortcut to their admin panels (this also lets us bypass account creation confirmations, which saves us some time). However, we've had some issues with uptime and slowness with this host, so I'm looking around for alternatives.

So I'm curious, how are you guys dealing with hosting?
