Chatted with a Siteground rep after hearing there is a hosting price increase after one year.
My question: Is there a price increase of hosting after one year?

Kaloyan G.: The sign up price is with our special price with big discount from the regular price, however unlike other hosting companies upon renewal, we don't ask you to pay on the regular price directly, as we give you different amount of discounts, depending on the period for which you are renewing the service - you can get %10 / %20 / %30 off the regular price if you renew the account for 1 / 2 / 3 years respectively
User: So I would have to pay, what? 3 years in advance in order to keep the same rate as I had at signup?
Kaloyan G.: Yes, that's correct - each of our shared plans are pre-paid for the period, that you order them
User: You realize that that isn't explained on the plan details page, right?
Kaloyan G.: We do say, what the sign up price and regular price is, and we clearly state how much you will be charged before you click pay
User: You clearly state how much you will be charged for the first year. That's true. I've suggested your companies service to several of my clients in the past and feel that the details page should explain the pricing structure more honestly. I feel the current plan details page is disingenuous.
Kaloyan G.: As much we'd love to put all of the service info on the main page, that won't look good on the website, that's why we have several other means with which you can learn more about our service
User: "Won't look good" is correct because it's misleading about the pricing. So, where exactly can I see a page that actually explains the pricing structure prior to sign up?

User: I just ran a couple of simple searches on that page for "service" "increase" "cost" and found nothing. Where on that page exactly does it say that after one year there will be an increase in hosting costs?
Kaloyan G.: User, you just have to read more carefully through the Terms of Service page, it's quite detailed I know :) That's why we have the live chat and we clearly state that the sign up price is using the special price
