Hello, new to all this, have a question :)

So I'm very new to webdesign and all that stuff and right now i'm just fiddling with some stuff and trying to build something. One thing I noticed about a html/css page i put together was that it zoomed to the top left corner when i zoomed on the browser (google chrome), but when i try it out on a website like http://www.pcgamer.com , it zooms to the center. Is there an easy fix for this or is this a more complicated matter?
