I'm not a designer but figured you guys might be able to help me out. I've been working on a custom skin for a race car in an online racing league but I've been having trouble with it. It seems that when I look at race cars they achieve this cohesive look but with a massive amount of visual noise thanks to all the clashing ads and logos. When I try to replicate this it just looks like a mess.
Does anyone have any tips on how to go about achieving a slick looking race car? Or is it just a matter of experience, trial, and error?
