I'm trying to make a webpage and i want to force the page to be segmented off.
here's a poorly drawn example.
the yellow area would contain a google calendar the grey would be a weather widget the red would be a rss ticker feed. blue is a logo.
it would all share the same background
i'm using a weather widget from accuweather http://ift.tt/1pxxc2a
and it says that the widget will automatically self squish itself in order to fit the page properly. which is great but i can't figure out how to force it to to the narrow footprint.
so i figure i need to make segments of some sort so that each item can live in it's own little area.
trying to search for segmentation just gets me stuff about market research.
any help as to what i need to search for so i can try to fumblefuck around to get this work?
