Design Conferences

I really apologize if there is a list on here somewhere already- but can anyone recommend a few good design conferences?

Today my boss told me that I need to find a design conference to go to. He wants me to get more acquainted in the Graphic Design world- so something more design, print, packaging, etc.

I've done some research and it looks like there are a ton of web design conferences out there, and only a few graphic design. Has anyone gone to the HOW Design or AIGA conferences? Unfortunately How Design isn't for another year, but I would love to know thoughts and any other suggestions.
