I'm trying to design a site, and I want my design to affix to a 12px grid. While I can create a line-height that fulfills this, each font has it's own arbitrary vertical spacing that it adds, which means I don't have total control and can't ensure that the vertical space that the actual typography occupies fits within my 12px pattern. How do I account for this? Is there a standard amount of space typically added to fonts?
