What is the name of this effect?

I'm trying to achieve a certain effect that looks like the following:

This is a single line [where the last bit scrolls to random things]. 

Its hard to explain but its basically a single line where the end word or words fade and scroll vertically. Its like a list but I want it to scroll up or down at a certain rate and loop. I found a helpful Codepen, but it scrolls too fast and seems to slow only on the "one". I just want to know what terms or names to search in Google to find out more so I can achieve my desired effect. Thank you guys for your help!
