What should I google to learn to make CSS objects track my mouse?

I want to create a line on the Y axis (1px width 100% height) which tracks my mouse movement.

I'm proficient in HTML and CSS, and know some JS basics. Mostly data manipulation in arrays and objects.

I don't want to be the guy who asks people how to write this, so if someone could tell me what to google to learn how to do this I would be very appreciative.
