Hi there, I've been doing some websites on the side for some extra cash and am really enjoying it. I make every page from scratch, as i feel it helps me learn and i prefer to have full control over the design.
So far I've only made a couple pages with CMS and couch CMS seemed to work great for my needs. Is there anything that's considered better for plugging a cms into an existing design?
Also, I've been playing with WordPress a bit, but it seems to only work with templates? Is there a way to make a more robust cms like WordPress work with a custom design I've created?
Do people only use templates for sites with a cms now, or are there commonly used alternatives for custom designs?
Any insight would be appreciated!
