Sites like tripadvisor, urbanspoon (Zomato), and Yelp have tons of photos posted, and it looks like most are user submitted. If I am building a basic travel website for a town/area, how would I get started with pics (before having a userbase that submits them)? Would it be appropriate to reach out to the individual account holders on these sites to ask permission to use the photos?
I'd also like to add events to the page, I'm guessing I'd have to get permission to add logos for every event, right?
I am in a pretty country area, and I'd really like to build a "things to do" page for the area and add more "flair" to it as a side project. Thoughts?
